It's Playoff Time for UO

Here's what happened the previous week in playoff action for guys in the Ultimate Officials Referee Camps:

Mike Diebold, Neil Missling, and Clayton Smith all worked the NAHPL's Playoffs in Troy, MI.

Claytom Smith refereed the Silver Division U18 Championship game.
Neil Missling lined the 14U final game.

Joe Oberg and Adam Shadiow were linesmen in an NCHA Quarterfinal Game, UW-Stevens Point beating UW-Superior in the series 2-1 with a mini-game in OT.

The following all had Section Playoff assignments in MN Girls HS Hockey:

Eric Arndt: 7AA Semi, 4AA Final
Norm Gaskins - AA Qtr and Semifinal
Mike Diebold - AA Semifinal
Joel Omundson - 7AA Final (4 OT's!)

Dave Zulla: Gordon Cup - New Jersey Boy's Hockey - Qtr Final

The following all had action in MN Hockey District Playoffs:

John Busch - Bantam A districts
Robert Beckl - Bantam A districts
Nick Bradshaw - Bantam A districts
Tim Ferrel - PeeWee A, PeeWee B, Bantam B2, and Bantam A districts
Jason Olson - Bantam B districts
Joe Oberg - Bantam B districts

Seriously, People, I Don't Get It

What in the wide world of sports is going on here?  And I am not referring to all the shenanigans going on...I am referring to the uniforms these officials are wearing.

C'mon man, I came here looking for content.  Where's the steady stream of content?

My answer: I have been up to my ears in hockey...reffing hockey, videotaping hockey, editing videos, and watching the UO boys on FASTHockey in NAHL action.

What Happened in UO in December/January

Highlights From In and Around the Hockey World for Ultimate Officials in December 2011& January 2012

* Jake Brenk continues to work out in the ECHL, making him the MN official working the highest level of hockey, besides Brian Mach, who is an NHL linesman (and, yes, I do put the ECHL above the WCHA).

* Cameron Voss, Kevin Cassidy continue to plug away as full time officials in the North American Hockey League, including working the exhibition game in December between the Alexandria Blizzard and the Russian Jr. All-Star Team.

* Kevin Cassidy worked his first games in the minor pro SPHL.  Booyah!

* Cameron Voss and Joe Millette also worked some USHL games.  Booyah!

* Speaking of NAHL and NAH3L, we had Tim Ferrel, Aaron Barlow, Clayton Smith,  Nick Dornfeld, Jamie Halverson, Nick Bradshaw, and Ryan Szymanski in action, too.

* Nick Bradshaw (USHL Games, too) also worked the Mariucci Classic and other WCHA games.  He will be in action in February with the BSU Beavers vs. U of MN Gophers.

* Neil Missling worked a WCHA exhibition game between the USANTDP U-18 Team and Minnesota State, Mankato.

* Shane Paskey continues to work a steady stream of Women's WCHA series.

* Nick Biondich continues to work games in the Women's WCHA, as well, plus NCHA Men's Hockey.

* Mark McGinnis works the Empire/AJHL and ACHA College Hockey in the great state of Florida.

* The Division III Season rolls along for guys like Jamie Halverson, Adam Shadiow, Norm Gaskins, Duncan Ryhorchuk, Shane Paskey, and Nick Biondich.

* Aaron Barlow keeps racking up ref games in the MJHL, and so does Joe Millette.

* FOR THE SECOND TIME THIS SEASON: I PERSONALLY HEARD WORD THAT ONE OTHER OFFICIAL (not listed here) HAS BEEN LOCKED IN FOR A PLAYOFF ASSIGNMENT IN JUNIOR HOCKEY NEXT SPRING! (I've been networking!)

* On January 21, we had "Hockey Day in Minnesota" and two UO guys were on TV working games:

Norm Gaskins worked Minnetonka Girls HS vs. Hopkins
Nick Bradshaw worked U of MN vs Colorado College
